I have lived in the Valley since 1984 and have an appreciation for how special and unique it is here in the Snoqualmie Valley.  My three daughters have all attended Snoqualmie Valley schools where they received outstanding educations and were able to attend the colleges of their choice.   My daughter Jana attended Seattle University and has obtained her Masters Degree in Criminal Justice and is working as a social worker for the WA State Department of Social and Health Services - Children Administration.  My daughter Brianna earned a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Seattle Pacific University and is working as an Oncology Nurse at Seattle Children's Hospital.  My daughter Marissa is attending  Western Washington University where she is pursuing a Bachelors double major in Human Services and Spanish and a minor in Psychology. 

In my professional life, I am a Physical Therapist Assistant and enjoy helping people of all ages recover from injuries, surgeries and other health issues and in most cases return to their prior lifestyle. 

Leadership:

  • Snoqualmie Valley School District Board of Directors -  12 years.                        Served as President for 2 years.

  • 27 years of volunteer service to the Snoqualmie Valley School District

  • Snoqualmie Valley Community Network Board for 10 years.                               Served as President for 3 years.

  • Voters for Excellence 12 years. Chair and Co-Chair. Successfully passed multiple levies and bonds for the school district.

Commitment:

       365 Club member for 3 years and donor for years

  • Chairperson of Book Fairs; Assisted with Harvest Carnivals, Back to School Events, Walk-a-thons; Room mom. Etc.

Service:

  • 10 years- American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Snoqualmie Valley Team Captain  for “Team Our Sweet One” in honor of my mom (10 years cancer free!!!)  My family and I walk for the many people battling cancer, many of them in my own family.  We honor those that have passed.

  • Encompass - Raised funds to build the current Encompass Building.  Volunteered and contributed at many fundraising events and auctions to support the organization.
